Beginner’s Guide to Setting up a Dome Tent!

And once you get a dome tent, follow the instructions below to set it up!

Step 1: Unpacking the Package

Open the package that contains the assembly kit and set all parts outside. Cross-reference it with the parts specification sheet to check if anything is missing or damaged.

Step 2: Take the Components to the Event Site

You need to identify where you’ll set up your dome tent. The diameter of the tent will decide the dimension of the space. Make sure to keep a buffer of at least a metre to accommodate anything else that you want to place in and around the vicinity of the tent.

Step 3: Setting up the Frame

Start from the entrance. Build the profile tube from towards the door and work your way up to the top. Fix the first lap base and then work on the first triangular structures. Install the triangle construction on each layer until you reach the top of your tent.

Step 4: Setting the Canopy Atop

This is the most important step. Lift up the canopy fabric by crane and hang it up. Tie the corners by ropes. Cover the entire dome by arching the fabric around the structure.

This is only required in case of bigger dome tents having a diameter of more than 10 meters; smaller tents can be easily managed by a two-man team.

Step 5: Securing the Fabric

Once the frame is covered with the PVC fabric, tighten it with steel base. This will secure the fabric in position.

Voila, your dome tent is ready to be decorated!

Erecting a dome tent is simple. Smaller domes such as the 4M dome tent by Extreme Marquees shouldn’t take you more than four hours. Larger eco domes or resort domes will need expert intervention. Don’t worry, the Extreme Team would be there to guide your dome tent setup.
