HOW TO PLAN A SEAMLESS PRINT PROJECT

Choose the correct printing technique for your marquee use.

paper sublimation printing

Type of Fabric 600D PU Coated Polyester / 245GSM

Technique Sublimation printing, also known as dye sublimation printing involves the use of a digital printer to produce a print on sublimation transfer paper. The sublimation paper is then placed into a heat press with the marquee fabric and exposed to high temperatures. Where the artwork is transferred from the paper to the marquee fabric.

Features The marquee fabric has the artwork embedded in the material and the design will not scratch from the surface. The fabric has a matte finish, which photographs well and suits indoor and outdoor use.

Use This material is designed for intermittent outdoor use, the fabric colour can be effected with long term outdoor use.

LED-UV printing

Type of Fabric 900D PU Coated Polyester / 284GSM

Technique UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet lights to dry or cure ink as it is printed. As the printer distributes ink on the surface of the marquee fabric, specially designed UV lights follow close behind, “curing” or “drying” the ink instantly.

Features LED-UV printing will last 3 times longer than sublimation printing when marquee is exposed to long term outdoor use. The UV fabric is upgraded from 600D to 900D PU coated material for extended use. The UV LUS-170 ink is highly flexible, UV cured and eco friendly.

Use Constant exposure to the sun can cause many materials to fade and lose their luster over time. This material is ideal for long term outdoor use with extended fade resistance.

digital printing

Type of Fabric 550GSM PVC

Technique Large format digital printing refers to method of printing from a digital based image directly to the PVC marquee material.
Once the print has dried a hot lacquer is applied to the print surface to seal the print to avoid scratches.

Features The PVC material is long wearing ultra voliet light resistant. A hot lacquer is applied to the printed surface to prevent wear, tear and scatches to the printed surface. All seams and heat welded

Use Ideal for outdoor extended use

ADVANTAGE OF PVC

Our durable PVC can remain set up permanently outdoor and will last for a minimum of 10 years. It can be cleaned easily with a water blaster which can bring its appearance back to almost original condition. The left image above shows 2 year old PVC roof that has had the front half pressure cleaned. The Marquee in the right image above has been set up for the past 12 years outdoors. It has been consistently out in the elements without being packed down and is still in amazing condition.
